Transient Echos of Time, 2024

In the intricately woven fabric of existence, each thread intertwines with memories, places, and the souls that sculpt our being. This series, Transient Echoes of Time, reflects this complex weave, where fragments of my life find their umbra on handmade wooden tablets.

These are not mere surfaces but sacred tablets, capturing and echoing ephemeral moments, immortalising whispers of time.

Memory and place form the pillars of this series, each piece a portal to a bygone moment, a delicate emotion, or a hushed dialogue. Florals and budgies emerge as symbols, transcending their natural beauty to represent the pivotal women and men in my life. The florals, in their blooming splendour, embody the females who've nurtured my soul, imbuing me with strength, resilience, and beauty. In contrast, the budgies, with their vivacious colours and melodies, reflect the male influences—each bird a note in the symphony of my existence.

Transient Echoes of Time navigates the fluid continuum between traditionally perceived masculine and feminine realms. Through a blend of objects, drawings, and recipes, the series explores and challenges these identities. The chosen palette, reminiscent of childhood's innocence and creativity, invites a dialogue on the complexity of gender and identity, echoing the playful yet profound nature of our earliest encounters with the world.

This collection is more than a series of artworks; it is a narrative unfolding across the tablets of time.
